Voting is such an important part of our government and something we should all be thankful and excited to do! We get to express our opinions in a free democracy here in the United States, helping to shape the next 4 years of policies, decision making and progress. You’ve probably seen a ton of your favorite influencers and celebrities preaching the importance of voting, and that’s because it is!
The best advice we’ve heard is: “Voting isn’t marriage, it’s public transport. You’re not waiting for ‘the one’ who’s absolutely perfect: you’re getting the bus, and if there isn’t one to your destination, you don’t not travel – you take the one going closest.” (Unknown) – Basically, we understand that candidates aren’t always perfect, but you still can exercise your civic duty of voting for the candidate that has the best ideas and policies that YOU care about! Educate yourself on key issues you care about, and vote for the candidate that will lead us to a better tomorrow. Here’s our top 3 reasons why we’re going to head to the polls on November, 3rd!
- You CAN! – Seems pretty self-explanatory, but exercising your right to vote is also celebrating the freedom we have in our democracy. Not everyone around the world gets the chance to voice their opinions through the ballot.
- Your Voice MATTERS – We’re a big country, so it’s easy to get trapped into thinking that “my vote doesn’t matter anyway.” But, that’s not true! Some states can even be swayed by just a handful of votes. So, the more people that vote, the more accurate the elected candidate will represent what Americans want.
- The FUTURE! – Voting may seem simple, but it is no small task. The candidates elected today can and will establish policies that can change the future, and those changes won’t only be for 4 years! Policies can affect our country decades from now, so keep the future of your children and grandchildren in mind, too!

Voter empowerment isn’t the next social media trend, it’s here to stay! I collaborated with Yandy to raise awareness in the upcoming election this year! Yandy has really cute “I Voted” pasties that look like the “I Voted” stickers, and I actually wore it in this photo here. I also wore this cute white crop top also from Yandy! I’m glad that some of my favorite girly brands are all creating a buzz and encouraging people to vote!
Whether you submit a mail-in ballot before the election, or you vote in person that day, make sure you do it, and share it with others so they will also be inspired to do so!
If you want to further your excitement to vote and help empower others to do the same, Mazi + Zo created a necklace that donates 35% of the proceeds to When We All Vote.
There are so many reasons to get educated and exercise your right to vote this fall! Check to see if you’re registered to vote at Vote.org! Also, if you’re not registered to vote, be sure to check the deadline of your state so you don’t miss out!
