I used to always eat cereal before I go to the gym in the morning but I realized I was always SO hungry by the time I got there. Nothing wrong with cereal but oatmeal keeps me full throughout my work out and gives me much more energy to work out! :) Here is a yummy recipe! :)
- 1/3 cup Organic Multigrain Hot Cereal
- 1 cup Almond milk
- 1 tbsp Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter
- 1 teaspoon of Almond Butter
- 1 ripe Banana
- 1/2 cup of blueberries
Put Almond Milk in a small pan over medium high heat. Once the almond milk is boiling add the oatmeal and cook for about 3 minutes stirring occasionally. I like to add almond butter so it creates a creamy nice texture once the oatmeal is almost ready.
Cut half a banana into small pieces and smash the banana into the oatmeal and mix in. Once it's all one mixed in, turn the heat off and mix in the cookie butter!
Pour into a bowl and cut up your favorite fruits and place on top. I like to put banana and blueberries. SO GOOD! :)
