The MET is a place where you definitely need to stop by when in New York. Even if you live there, it’s a wonderful place to go, see some beautiful art pieces, and learn a thing or two! I have been to the MET once before, when I was 19, so I didn’t remember much about it. My mother knew I was visiting New York City and she sent me a message saying, you MUST go to the MET. My friends wanted to go too, so on my last day in New York City, I got to go to the MET. When you first walk up, you see the famous Met Steps, the steps they always referred to on the show Gossip Girl. Here I am wearing the Stuart Weitzman 5050 boot and I got them in the flat boot. I almost never like flats because I am a heel girl, but these shoes are amazing. I like them better as flat boots because they are so sexy and slimming!
Anyways, back to the MET! Once you walk in there’s a bit of a line, and they have a suggested entrance fee, but it is a recommended donation. Some people donate $1, $25, or whatever you want to donate! Inside is beautiful! There are different categories of art from different countries and different eras. We started in Egypt, then went through Greece, then French, Japanese, and American. Although we were there for three hours we could not catch every exhibit, but while we were there we learned a lot!
This crystal ball stag was everything and probably one of the newest things added to the museum. It was created in 2011 and was something a lot of people were looking at! Each marble piece represented a Pixel, which is the modern day way of describing the quality of an image. This was in the Japanese category of art! I definitely can’t wait to go back to the MET, and look at more art work on my next visit!
