One of my fondest childhood memories is going to high tea with my mother and her friends. As a little girl, I remember it being just like a tea party I had with my dolls, but in real life. There are so many amazing places to have high tea in Los Angeles and New York, and since it’s my favorite afternoon activity, I thought I’d show you my favorite places for in LA, and if you guys want, I will do one NYC!
- PENINSULA BEVERLY HILLS (THE BELVEDERE)
One of the more popular locations for High Tea in Los Angeles, The Peninsula Beverly Hills has one of the most gorgeous set ups and tea sets! I love the yellow and blue princess/Cinderella feel and their coaches are just luxurious and elegant. If you like more an ultra glam high tea with a royal vibe, you will love the Peninsula!
If you have never done high tea, this is how it goes! You choose your tea, and then you get a set of light bites. This includes scones, sandwiches and desserts! Most of the places comes with similar foods, and they are perfect for an afternoon snack while chit chatting with your girlfriends or even a glam meeting! For just tea and the set it is $65/person
You definitely get a little warm in there with the tea so in the summer I would suggest wearing short sleeves or no sleeves! In the fall I always bring a jacket though! #fallfashion
2. THE LANGHAM PENINSULA (THE WEDGEWOOD)
If you are appreciate the glam shabby chic look then this place is much more ROSEY and RED! I felt more of a vintage vibe here, but obvi I appreciate classic glam as well! I love that there is an amazing live pianist playing classical music for you to listen to while you have your afternoon tea. Since this place is in Pasadena, it is less busier than the one at the Peninsula so I feel that you can have more of an intimate meeting/hang out with your whoever you are with! For just tea and the set, it is $49/person
The setting has roses and just perfect for a nice fall day! I actually went yesterday, the first day of fall!
I wore a coat from House of CB because it does get a bit chilly, but it was perfect to just throw on and take off.
Similar foods, scones, macaroons, sandwiches. I think the plate settings is seriously the cutest! If you love high tea and want me to review more places, let me know! I read my comments and I have some that I want to show you guys in NYC & more LA too!
