Hi my loves! As much as I want to be consistent on here, having my Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Snapchat makes it a bit hard for me to update this blog daily! But I have been really trying to update it at least once or twice a week! If you are an active reader of this blog, please let me know in the comments and I will keep updating for you guys! I really do appreciate each and every one of you guys reading this and I want to share as much knowledge as possible!
It’s been a little over two weeks since I got back from New York City, and I am in love with that city! Every time I go there, I fall in love with it more and more. Each time I leave I tell myself that one day I am going to move to NYC but my family is here in Los Angeles, which makes it harder. Hopefully in the near future I can get a place there so I can be bi-coastal! The first day I got in, I got right to shooting! I worked with one of my favorite photographers Lani Lee, who shot my Playboy photoshoot.
Our first stop was Chinatown in New York, which I’ve never been to, and it was interesting! I have been to Chinatown in Japan actually, and the L.A. one once, but that’s about it. The Chinatown in New York seemed more open, but I didn’t walk around too much! Most of the time I spent on a rooftop, which was grungy, and edgy. This look is pretty different from my usual style, but I have been trying to change up the look! The same “GLAM” thing gets boring sometimes even for me!
I then changed to an orange bikini from LexMila for another look!
These photos, we used the double exposure feature so my photos appear to have two images meshed together! Love these style photos! I wish I knew how to take these type of photos! If you have any knowledge about taking these type of photos teach me!
This fringe vest is also from LexMila. I wanted to wear my funkiest pieces for this rooftop shoot, and I thought this fringe vest was super cute for the look.
We did some in black and white! My love for black and white photos have grown so much over the years!
Then we stopped by our friend Kristen’s apartment and her place was so “New York.” I loved the way her place looked and how there are so many stairs to get to her place. I know I sound like a rookie but I just love it. It’s so different from Los Angeles, and I totally think of Sex and the City when I think of New York and when I see it in person I just get so excited!
She had some fun Faux Fur jackets and since it was raining outside I wanted to wear it to stay warm!
I then went shopping around Chinatown but it started to rain, which I am not really used to at all, since it barely rains in L.A. California is actually in a drought right now and we haven’t had any rain for such a long time!
I wore this Olive Bodysuit from House of CB while I looked at dragonfruit!
Then I went inside the grocery store. It was a totally different vibe. Normally I shop at Whole Foods, and I have been to Japanese supermarkets but I have never been to a store like this and I loved it! I felt like I was in another country!
and I just had to pick up some Sriracha!! I didn’t actually buy it because I already have some at home, but I had to take a photo with my favorite hot sauce!
My skirt is also from House of CB and my bag is obviously the Celine Medium Luggage bag!
I then ate at Sweet Chick and I had vegetarian chicken and waffles. It was delicious! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post where I talk about my Day 2 at #NYFW! If you haven’t seen my videos on my channel, make sure to check those out too!
