This place is my favorite lunch place in LA! The atmosphere is super cute and the food is amazing! Gracias Madre is located in West Hollywood, close to Beverly Hills on Melrose Ave. They serve Vegan Mexican food that is sooooo delicious! Every time I have a business meeting, a casual fun lunch day, or just wanting to grab a bite to eat, I ALWAYS suggest this place! Even if you are not Vegan, you will like it, the food is very tasty! The price is not too expensive considering the location and it has a beautiful patio area! If you are dining for two without cocktails, it’ll be about $30-$50 dollars!
I always start off with their chips and guacamole. Their guacamole tastes really good, I am sure they make it in-house and it doesn’t come from a bag, lol.
Then I usually get a bowl, this time I got the Uno Bowl, which is kind of like a taco bowl, but with brown rice, mushrooms, romaine, black beans, and guacamole. Everything here is Vegan so the meat substitute is the mushroom! I also got the Sopa Ranchero, pictured below which is a veggie soup. I shared it with my friend Ezgi who has never been there and she loved it! The brown sauce in the middle is a habanero sauce they give you if you request it, it is a spicy sauce and it is something that is a Gracias Madre little secret!
Whenever I bring anyone there, they love it, so I do recommend this place. The food is healthy as well. Well maybe not so much the chips but they are still not french fries, and they are made from corn! Next time you’re in town, check it out, I am there a lot!
